Equessense Therapeutic Horseplay
Thank you for your support, defiance of medical predictions. We have shared the ecstatic experience of a mother hearing her son’s first laughter after eight silent, somber years of isolation in his own world of autism. We have helped language-impaired kids develop communication skills; victims of child-abuse emancipate repressed memories to begin healing from early childhood trauma. The horses teach emotionally disturbed individuals to control their temper and express their feelings appropriately. Kids with behavior disorders learn discipline from these natural behaviorists. These heroic animals have even been known to bring our riders back from the depths of utter despair to change their mind about committing suicide.
